Then, we feed our starter 3 times to make a big bowl of bubbly starter and make several sourdough items to freeze for the month ahead.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/fromscratchfarmstead.com\/deep-dish-sourdough-cast-iron-pizza\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Sourdough deep dish pizza<\/a> is always a monthly staple for our weekly pizza nights. But besides that, we love experimenting with different sourdough recipes. The soft wheat berries have less protein and are more ideal for baked goods. We like to grind our own flour in our <a href=\"http:\/\/nutrimill.com\/fromscratch\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Nutrimill Harvest<\/a> for peak nutrition and freshness. We like to buy either <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/42en7xC\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Bob\u2019s Red Mill aluminum free baking powder<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.azurestandard.com\/shop\/product\/food\/baking-pantry\/baking-powder\/baking-powder\/29726?package=BP713&amp;a_aid=1VhF2IHeYI\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">baking powder<\/a> from Azure Standard.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Sea Salt<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Tapioca Starch, Arrowroot Powder, or Cornstarch \u2013<\/strong> This is one of the best kept secrets when it comes to baked goods. Adding a little tapioca or corn starch in combination with flour helps to soften the proteins and give baked goods a more desirable, crumbly and tender texture.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image temperature)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Soudough Starter (fed or discard)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Plain Yogurt \u2013<\/strong> We use our <a href=\"https:\/\/fromscratchfarmstead.com\/how-to-make-crock-pot-yogurt\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">homemade plain yogurt<\/a> in these sourdough blueberry muffins but sour class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to Make Sourdough Discard Blueberry Muffins<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After gathering all of the needed ingredients, in a large bowl, combine dry ingredients (flour, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, tapioca starch, and salt).<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Then, add the blueberries to the dry ingredients so that the blueberries are Can they be frozen for long term storage?<\/h3>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These sourdough discard blueberry muffins will store well in a sealed, airtight container, for up to 3 days on the counter. For long term storage, they absolutely can be frozen.
